Based on the principles of Joseph Pilates, Pilates practice is low impact and therefore gentle on the body’s joints. The slow, controlled movements that we use will help you to define your fine motor skills.
You will also benefit from strong core muscles, helping to keep the spine and the surrounding joints flexible and therefore pain free. In addition, the way we breath during practice will help you to develop strong lungs, build stamina and increase your recovery time, and as a result boost your energy levels.
If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.
